		<description>Thanks for the great article.  I'm moving back to my home town next month, and this article reminded me that i have to connect up with the local seed-sharing and permaculture groups.  I'm still a newbie when it comes to gardening, so i treasure any tips like these that i can find.  Luckily there's a local site with heirloom varieties ( http://www.saltspringseeds.com/ ) that i'd like to try out, so i can avoid the hybrid seeds at the supermarket.</description>
