Eject the State
Okay, I promise to post about something other than Pakistan later today but look at this lovely photo from Friday’s protest at Lahore University of Management Science.

Those of us who have staged or participated in campus demos in much less dangerous circumstances can maybe appreciate the courage it took for these students to march when their right to do so is not recognized by authorities who have been beating and locking up much more powerful people.
And check out the red “eject” graffito that has been popping up in cleverly placed proximity to words like “police.”

(Dawn is an English language newspaper in Pakistan that has been doing a good job of reporting despite the press constraints imposed by the declaration of emergency.)
